Ok, the metal shears and hole saw cutting can't do it. I need to cut holes right where the stock holes are for the headlight harness etc. It's for IC piping. Nay ideas?

 

what about a dremel with a cut-off wheel?

 

Not familiar with the cut-off wheel. Is a dremel powerful enough if the cut-off wheel works?

 

Access to a plasma cutter? Otherwise try pneumatic, but it's going to make a horrible mess.

 

Pneumatic body saw works great, and will probably be more accurate than a Sawzall. I got mine from Harbor Freight.

Tools:

Sharpie marker

String

Center punch

Drill Bit (Even a uni-bit)

Drill motor

File



Determine the diameter of the hole you want, tie string around sharpie and use the string to guide the sharpie in marking the hole. No graw another circle so the circumference is 1/2 the diamter of the drill bit to the inside of the desired diameter.



use the center punch (Automatic spring loaded $10 special works great) and mark locations all around the inner circle. Drill out all the holes, remove the center and trim/finish with a file or dremel

 

i thought about that ...but didn't know if the outcome would be neat.



guess i'll do that though ...cause i have no tools, and need to get it done by saturday

 

Home Depot has an extra strong blade for recprocating saws called "the torch"



If your saw is variable speed, keep the stroke rate below half speed.



My neighbor cut a junk Nissan 240 into pieces for the dump with one.

 

all i have access to is a rotary saw, a mini sawsall thing (same type of blade with an up and down motion), hack saw, and drill. I like the drill idea though. it will be precise though maybe a little rough on the edges. the edges will be silicone covered so it shouldnt matter. time is important though and so is money. i am not rushing it, but i'm not taking a lot of breaks.
