so a guy swung by my work with a 88 or 89 vert and he told me he was going to sell it. As a joke i said sell me your lights he said give me 50 bucks and switch out yours for mine and there yours. So my question is that will lights form a 88 or 89 vert fit in my 86 gxl. I really like the series five lights but will the vert lights line up differently or same bolt in bolt out thing. I will greatly apreciate it if you could shed some light on it for me.

oh and i meant the rear tail lights i just realized i never said which lights it was

he will lose his keyhole for the trunk, you will end up with a useless keyhole.



the vert lights are worth more then coupe lights.



in the end I dont think its worth the trouble, vert lights have come down to $150 a set.

ya but i'm getting them for 50 dollars so 150 to 50 is a huge jump

the person buying the vert will not be happy, and will probably try to haggle your friend down $300 or so, which is what I would do if I went to see a series 5 vert that had series 4 coupe lights on it and also made the trunk only accessable with the pull inside the car- which if that dont work then your whole deal is squashed.



At that point he will probably want his lights back, lol



otherwise take them off and try them out, I should have said s5 tails have come down to about $125, with slightly chipped ones going for $75-$100.
