this is a 1988 10ae t2. im still debating whether to put a whole s5 tranny engine or do an s4 engine tranny or do a "crossbreed"

revvin please help me decide on what to do. i am not so sure on how to do this since im not really "rotary inclined".

i would definitely want to get an s5 engine but wouldnt like to run into fitting/compatibility problems. please help me clear up my mind.

Well I have done the s4 chassis s5 motor swap, best of both worlds, less wieght and most power, I held out for 2 months to get an s5 motor Everything will fit fine, only difference will be needing to get the right tranny mount if you decide to switch to an s5 tranny, but any year motor will bolt in fine. Get the s5 stuff if you can, u can use whatever tranny u want with whatever motor. You just have to have the corresponding clutch/pp for the same engine, s5 engine/clutch/pp, unless you want to swap **** on the engine(you don't). So get the s5 motor, and whatever tranny you prefer.
