Rx-7 Vs. ???? (this One Should Be Popular)

stock s5 turbo is 200 hp big guy,
and just adding lets say rb exhaust is a 60 hp gain, intake lets say 8
thats 268 an some more with some tweaking with the turbo
An weight???
we know the t2 is so much less by more than 350z by atleast 200 maybe 300 pounds
now does that sound like a good race
s5 t2 = 268 hp but lighter
vs.
2003 350z = 280 hp and heavier
and just adding lets say rb exhaust is a 60 hp gain, intake lets say 8

I think working on my fc and fiero in his garage for the last few years has infected him. Maybe he wants to race I keep telling him the 350z is a heavy pig of a car, I guess he'll just have to learn the hard way. If my NA pumps out ~240hp and I get it down to around 2400lbs he's going to get a bad schooling in the subject of power:weight ratios. but damnit I want a close ratio 6 speed in my FC

my dad's old sentra just blew a trans seal, he wants to trade it in and get a new car. on the phone yesterday he said he wants to get a 350z and that he might get a 6 speed manual.

by todays government crash standards..the 350 is a bantam weight...the 350 would murder a stock t2 on a road course...all the body stiffness and nice big brakes help out a lot...and who ever thinks that they arent nimble has not driven one yet...chassis engineering these days has a way of defying physics
a 03 plymouth voyager has a higher amout of lateral grip than a 86 rx7
your standard 4 door sedan scoots to 60mph in less that 9 sec 10 years ago that was a sports car
a new 03 front drive Mazda 6 (sport) has more lateral grip than a 93 NSX

No car is defying physics here, lower mass, easier to accelerate, in any direction.
look at this:
http://clubrx.org/grm88tii/Page_2.htm
The test surface used for the evaluation was an asphalt surface, and it was pretty bumpy. Nevertheless, our baseline tests verified Mazda's claimed lateral acceleration for the RX-7 Turbo. With the original equipment tires and wheels, and inflation pressures of 32 psi both front and rear, the RX-7 Turbo was able to generate 0.865 g of cornering force. After we completed the modifications described above and made our tire inflation adjustments, we measured the car's final lateral acceleration at 1.0065 g. Not bad for a stocker, eh?

There is a weight advantage on the 350z(it has a weight problem) I think it weight 3000+lbs's compared to a TII you need about ~200rwhp to beat them that much power I have been told give the TII the same pwr to weight ratio. I beliieve 160hp on an s5 would make it an N/a :bigthumg:

so can a s5 tii beat any Bmw M3?
And what apex said is so true, todays chassis are so much better,
mostly due to the stiffness and strength of the frames.
