hey guys im new to this one and id like to know if anyone knows how much horsepower/torque the '89 stock IRS can take in an rx-7. any other tips you guys can give me like how much the tranny can take? thanks a lot!

There's a big difference between the n/a drivetrain and the turbo drivetrain. I don't know details, but I'm moving this to the 2nd gen section so you can get more answers.

turbo stuff is good for 400+



na stuff, it kinda depends, it seems to hold on the street to maybe 300ish hp, more if you're not putting drag slicks, and doing 7000rpm clutch drops. in road racing, it seems to overheat, oil doesnt last, and it comes out burnt and stinky
