[topic="0"]not running to good[/topic]

1990 rx7 pretty stock 136K 2nd owner looking for advise on serious lack of power. I have cleaned out the fuel tank (lots fo crap in it)and replaced the fuel pump ( it was not building pressure and it wasn't the correct one for the car anyway) and filter and will run some injector cleaner through it. I hear rumor that there are some "ports" (vacum operated?) that I need to check to see if they are opening properly and I'm not to sure how to locate them. Not use to working on this beast and as you know a decent non guessing mechanic are hard to find

The actuators are on the passenger side of the car. If you look at the bottom of the manifold you'll see something that "doesn't look right", those are the actuators.

Ok got the fuel system cleaned up. Won't start hot at all just turns over. Runs real rough a gutless wonder. Won' idle at all. Will start easy when cold but as soon as the idle drops down it stalls. Could it be a bad throttle sensor? If so does someone know how to test it? Thanks

Was your cold start removed? That would affect cold idle.

I merged your threads, and I'm moving this to the 2nd gen section; you should get more answers there.

Always good to start with a compression check just to be sure you're not beating your head on a wall.
