anyone use the cusco 8 point roll cage for the fc? im waying my options and am considering it as i need a cage but i also do not want the dash harmed as one day i may restore this car to factory when im bored of speed. i would modify the cusco if i get it with a cross harness bar and X brace in the rear and also diagnal door bars for extra strenght. i figure for 1200 bucks this piece should be good , though not as good as a custom weld in cage but like i said i will some day restore this hp beast back to stock when im bored.

anyone use one or have a picture of a cusco fc 7 or 8 point in a fc that i can see the fit of it?

reason for a full cage is i found out resently that my frame was buckled in the floor pan under the drivers seat area,,,,,,,, buckled the seat mount and all and this car has never been in a wreak. could be from hard launches and high hp so i need to stiffen the car fully. also want to time attack this thing at some point.

Buckled the floor... just how much power did you end up making, jesus. 600hp FDs don't even buckle the floor...

I haven't seen that cage before though... custom is the best as far as having it how you want it.

I'd look more into your car's history...that just doesn't sound like something that happens from hard launches.. I've launched FBs, FCs and FDs pretty hard at I've never seen/heard of that happening. Maybe something is busted or weak...perhaps somebody tried jacking the car up before, and it slid off the jack and did that...

im the second owner of the car , had it since 95 and this i resent. i was around 500whp last year and i noticed this problem gradualy coming on. as far as jacking the car there is no sign of any jack in that area. this is a very odd spot. im not sure what caused it all i know is now i need to fix and make it stronger then before.

It's not aluminum. It's chromemoly or something like that. I have the Safety21 8pt (still installing it actually) through the dash type. It's a bit heavier than the Cusco being that it's steel.

Cusco/Safety21 also have a non-through the dash type available if you don't want to hack up your dash.

Here are some pics I took a few weeks ago. The cage was just put into place for the pics. I still have some more painting (corrosion control is a must on this island) to do before I put the padding on it.
