Right Before The Tb
Car is an 87 TII. Ported my wastegate and took off the acv, capped the hoses and such and made block of plate. In the process, I destroyed the little sensor the is right before the TB. What is this sensor called and what is its function. Will the car run at all without it? Right now the car starts, hits about 1500rpm, then dies as if the fuel has been cut. I know that this is some sort of air sensor, so if its not there reading air, Im guessing its telling the ECU that so no fuel. Thanks for the input.
The sensor in the cover that goes on the front of the TB is the air temp sensor. I have seen 2 cars run "fine" with one of the tabs broke off. They are fairly cheap from the dealer and I bealive they s5/s4 na or TII are all the same part number.
