And what happens when it gets into the Rack? can it freeze up? stop working??

to tell you the truth i'm not sure what to expect, but I'd be concerned with corrosion on the inside of the rack, but it will be a while before the oil is completely gone. also the rack is designed to be lubricated by the PS fluid, if you ljust leave everything open you must have leaked most of it out by now, when it's all gone there will be no more lube, and it will probably start wearing and get sloppy...



and yes since it is something which involves gears meshing if you get some serious **** in the holes it can cause interference, this should be covered by common sense.

The PS rack has a quicker ratio, which can be nice.

Loop it, loop it, loop it. Every time you turn the wheel one way or the other it tries to move fluid out of the rack. With it looped, fluid moved easily and freely side to side. Simple.

it goes right in. it is a slower ratio, so you have to be fast with your hands
