Not in the window, in the door jamb.

Maybe this is associated with my problem: Whenever it rains, the only wet spot, and there's a ton of water there, is on the floor behind the driver's seat. Could this be because of the stripping by the window? It doesn't get wet in the seat or on the platform behind the seat, so I know it's not sunroof. The floor goes up before the door, so I figured it couldn't come in under the door. Is it coming from in the door, via the window?

could my door jam stripping be bad without it looking bad?

On my car it comes in where the door and the window meet the car. The water can easily come in and travel behind the interior panels and end up ponding behind the drivers seat. I can look in there and see clear down the door jamb so it must be coming in there.



If that window molding is bad and especially if you removed the plastic sheeting from inside the door panel you could also get a leak from there.

With that in mind, what's my best option to fix it? Where's the best place to get replacement stripping?

I would just get some camper seal tape for now to see if it works. Its seems like a poor design that makes it leak even with newer stripping. Dealer should have it, Victoria British, MazdaTrix would probably have it if you called them.

I was going to try some camper seal tape which is basically a thicker foam tape with adhesive on one side, and stick it on the car body door jamb where the door moulding would line up with it.
