I'm looking for something that looks nice and cools nicer (than my stock n/a plastic endtank rad)..



I don't really care about mounting or mount points or anything, I can fabricate mounts out of steel at work..



I mainly care about the inlet/outlet location.. But (obviously) I am also looking for a good price.. What do you guys recommend? I don't really want to dump a buttload of cash into a really nice rad that overcools.. But my car ran hotter than normal last summer..



What are you guys using? All FC guys..

 

I have the Fluidyne. Pretty much a direct bolt on. Keeps my car extremely cool even in the Texas summers with airconditioning going. It is silver looking which looks kinda nice under the hood. But the temp barely moves even in Summer.

 

well. i wish i could use a koyo if that helps any ...320 aint that bad.

Anyways, why not just stick with the stock radiator, and try changine your thermostat? I don't think you are making any kind of HP that needs a larger radiator.

 

my cuzzin changed the thermostat on his tII and then everything started to go wack. what would have caused that

 

you are to use the genuine mazda thermostat cuz other ones just plain suck or aren't compatible. either way mazda built the engine so i think they know what temps are ideal for it.



colin should upgrade his rad cuz it is 15 years old period. getting a new stock one would be fine because you are still n/a i believe and the stocker can handle a lot of heat. but like you said it has plastic components and going all aluminum does have it's advantages in looks and reliability. just get a koyo and you'll be set.
