My radiator busted on my turbo 2. The rad cap i have now is located over the thermostat housing. which is 0.9 bar cap. The radiator I put in has a cap on it also and that cap is 0.9 bar but I caped the over flow on the rad it self so I don’t have two over flows. but the over flow tank is filling up a kind of high above the full line should I get new caps ?

Since it's pushing coolant, you have a potentially serious problem that you can catch early.

The fan clutch is a common cause.

Both the S4 & S5 clutch freewheel when cold.

The s4 clutch increases it's bite gradually with temperature rise.

The s5 clutch is more on-off. (It just coasts until is gets warm)

Once they are warm, the fan speed goes up with engine speed to about 4000 RPM.

As the engine revs higher the fan stays at ~4K.

If your warmed up fan only revs up to < 2500 RPM, it's worn out.

Another possibility: Replace the thermostat. Make sure it fits. The spring loaded disc under the stat valve must close the bypass port, or guess what?
