I can help you with suspension setup. The racing beat will not lower your car that much maybe about 1/2 an inch. It is not that hard to setup at least now that I know what I am doing. I will be happy to share with you.

You will need about 1° to 2° of negative camber in the front to get your car to turn well. Same for the rear. With the slicks I run 1° all around. With the Victoracers 245/45/17 I ran the aggresive camber more along the lines of 2.5°.

I set my Toe with a string. It is easy to do. I have checked it with a digital alignment rack and come out very very close to what I intended. You need about 1/16" toe out. This aids in the cars initial turn in. It makes it "feel" very responsive.

You will reach a point Autocrossing where you will be pushing your car past its limits. I agree its 99% driver. BUT a well sorted car will make a world of difference.

Example: I have had 2 people drive my car as Novices and both won. One had never driven an RX-7 in his life and went out to win Novice class his first time ever Autocrossing. Driver?? No. Very well setup car.

Dont underestimate the need for a good car. I have always said C-5's and Z-06's make a crappy driver look really good.

I drove my dads C-5 and man it is very forgiving ABS traction control damn its like a F-1 car!!
