Ok, I was looking at the Racing Beat catalog and it says they make their exhaust system out of mild steel. It has been recommended to me in the past to never buy mild steel as it rusts in a few years. Has anyone had any problems with the Racing Beat exhaust components rusting out?

Also as I am looking for a downpipe, is the Racing Beat the best option? or is something better/more econmical/etc.?

Thanks

Does not having a presilencer make the exhaust MUCH louder or just a little?

Even though some of the RB stuff is "mild steel", they make it thick enough that it lasts... my presilencer and NA downpipe have NO RUST and actually still hold somewhat of a shine after close to 3 years on the car. I just put the RB header on over the weekend... its that same metal but like I said, thick as hell... there stuff is top quality and they know rotaries.

I think the presilencer is very important to avoid the chainsaw sound of the rotary unless you like that
