yeah they wanted 1500, just for the stand alone.



1800 for the front mount and piping



2500 for labor alone.



the motor I already have.



coming out to about 6000. not worth it for me to have a 310 hp tII. considering the motor had work done to it before.

ok, so if ur going stand alone it replaces everything inside the car that is connected to the ecu expet for thoes 7 splices?? now im starting to get confused. when u buy a stand alone that comes with a harness for a 13BREW, its going to have all the things to make it work in a FD, and if u do the swap with the stock ECU and harness, it comes with the same things that the new harness would have!!! are u saying that u purchased a stand alone and harness that were made for the swap?? or just a FD sa and harness??

Here's the deal buddy. If you want to use the FD engine ECU in an FC you will have to make changes. If you are going to use the FC coils then you will have to wire them up differently, and I'm not even sure if the FD ecu would be able to fire those coils, Jim can probably say so. If you are going to use the e-fan off the fd, that will have to be wired up, fuel pump connection will have to be rewired. From what I remember the FD doesn't have a CAS like the FC does, so that will have to be rewired to fit to the FC cabin ecu. The temp sensor is a different style, as is the oil pressure sensor. To get those sensors to work you would have to re-wire them into the FC ECU, same as a stand alone. There are more complications and wiring involved if you try to use the FD ecu than there is if you use a stand alone.

yeah, but if ur using the stand alone the only difference would be the coils, casue with the sensors on the FC and FD not matching up it wouldnt be a problem cause ud have the FD sensors (as listed above) which do match up to the FD harness and ecu correct??



and what is cas an acronim for?? i know it as Crank/Cam Angle Sensor, but sence the rotary has neither i am not sure what u are refering to.

The sensors go to the FD ecu fine, but they don't work with the Fc's gauges. CAS stands for Crank Angle Sensor. The other problem is his FD was an automatic and the ecu is going to be pissed off if it doesn't have something tell it what gear it's in, so he would have to switch to a manual FD ecu.
