So mazdatrix has listed an upper and lower shifter bushing, and a grrove bushing for s5 transmissions. I took apart my shifter from the top and couldnt really see where the stock ones were. If I buy these are they a simple install? Do I need both of them? thanks.

they are easy to install, the lower one slips under the locating pin in the tail stock where the shifter slips into place, dont forget about the thrust washer that goes under the lower cup, then remove your shifter boot/seal and slide the upper one on with the pin location facing in the proper direction and slide your boot/seal back on and install your shifter.

and mainly the lower one takes the abuse but id replace both while your there
