Well, I was thinking of having some new locks installed on my car (86 NA). First, the driver's side lock is broken; second, the other day I locked my keys in my car, then opened the door with a metal ruler within 30 seconds; third, my old locks are wearing out anyway; fourth, I'd kinda like some nice automatic locks. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knew of a place or website I could find some new locks on/at/in. It would be much appreciated, since I have to open my driver's side by reaching across the car from the passenger door (or with the aforementioned metal ruler, heh). Any info would be appreciated! Maybe after this I'll dream of power windows - nah.

No one's ever done anything like this? I'm really having a hard time finding a manufacturer and dealer for this.

You could install door popers but i would make kinda like a little harness incase your battery dies you can use the harness to connect to an other car to get power to your car to un lock your doors. whoo! ! !

And as a fail safe I would leave the trunk with a key.

Not only do you have automatic locks but automatic opening doors. plus you dont have to worry about putting the lock and holding the door handel up. I know im a worry wort but I would also keep an extra battery in my wallet and an extra remote hidden in the hacth.

BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY ! ! ! ! !
