I have the same problem. From looking it, there are 2 switches one always on, one always off (when the clutch is in) I had at first thought these were the issue, but when I push the clutch to the floor, and leave it there, then turn the key 2 or 3 times it will start, I also here it click over, just not start when it won't start.

You having a similar issue? Like I say I dunno what exactly it is, but I am starting to think it isn't the clutch switches at all.

the clutch switch is on the floor, and its rare to see it bad, but it can add enough resistance so that the starter soleniod doesnt see enough volts to do more than click
