This is the only forum I'm not afraid to post the before-pictures before the after-pictures.

Next few weeks, you'll see pics of a glossy black engine bay, that's the reason the motor came out.
you didn't pull the engine/trans JUST to paint the engine bay, did you?

Stock S4 N/A tranny.. I have a replacement tranny at my garage as well..

Well almost.. That was the initial reason, but then I realized it would be a hell of a lot easier to work on the motor with it out.. I'm going to detail the motor as well as install a different clutch/flywheel assembly, reseal the oil pan, install new motor mounts, remove the front cover and replace a few things, and mockup the new manifolds I have to make sure everything can be installed easily when the motor is sitting back in the engine bay..

Thanks, I will.

I would be embarrassed to show most of these pics if I wasn't sure it would make for good means of comparison after it's all finished. I mean, come on, you can say it, it won't hurt my feelings, this car as it stands right now, is hideous. So is the motor. But hey I don't expect pristine condition from a 17 year old Canadian car. But the whole thing will be done around May, and it will look gorgeous again.

Maybe the Canadian FC had a different trans. Or that trans is from a 1st gen or a repu.
