I have an 87 FC and two gauges have stopped working. The first was my gas gauge. Last week I looked down and the gauge fell from about half a tank to empty, it took several second as if the gas was pouring out of the tank but it wasn’t.

The other was my oil pressure gauge. It worked fine and then suddenly it started acting strange. It now starts moving up when you first start the car but as the hand gets towards 30lbs it drops back to 0.

One thing happened before this problem started, I don’t know if it has anything to do with the oil pressure gauge or not. There is a wire that come out of the harness near the oil filter, mine was hanging lose but I’ve been told it bolts to the master cylinder. It has a small black square piece about ¾ inch by ½ inch with the hole to bolt it to the master cyl. This peace came lose from the wire.

Any Ideas would be appreciated.
