ITs useless with those mufflers, I went with a converter, it barely quieted down the exaust, I have Borla by the way, Dump those N1s, and get the Racing Beat system. High Octane on a N/A- waste of time and actualy worse isnt it????

When you start messing with timing and crap 93 is a good idea.

One gadget you must have is a variflow exhaust valve. It shuts off to keep your exhaust quiet - holding back pressure. and can open up under throttle or boost to let as much gas as possible out.

Mines not by the same manurfactuer but the principals the same set at 2 psi car is almost as quiet as stock at idle and highway speed even, but i only have a medium volume competition muffler, so when it opens right out its very loud by contrast (all 800hp worth of noise).

also a good idea is to make high boost lock the valve right open. but on low and off boost to give a constant backpressure. this helps overcome large overlaps and keep response up too
sounds expensive

I have the RB streetable header and presilencer on my S4, one day leaving the bone yard my Y pipe to presilencer flange broke off the Y pipe (rusted original), **** was it loud. I don't think the presilencer does much silencing at all, it didnt seem any quieter than when I ran it with an open header. However, with the RB Y pipe and RB mufflers, the car is still a bit loud but the tone is very sexy. The RB mufflers have done most of the silencing and brought the tone to very enjoyable levels. With the stock mufflers on the header/presilencer combination it just sounded like a tinny weed wacker from hell with a hint of YZ125 2 stroke expansion pipe ring to it.
