how affective would a presilencer be to tone down my exhaust, got multiple tickets this week loud exaust ,sticker across the front of windshield and failed to show license and registration. my setup is rb header apexi n1 style mufflers w/ straight pipe would a presilencer tone me down?

im really sad because i love the sound and performance but i know its a lil loud i dont want a converter

A presilencer should help, but it will probably still be very loud with those N1 mufflers.

thanks ace i took some other helpful advice you gave away a while back i run 93 octane but also use quicksilver two stroke oil because the oil lowers the octane right?

It will lower the octane, but not by much. If the car runs well with that combo then stick with it. A RB preseilncer would probably help you out. Anything would be better than a pipe. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

One gadget you must have is a variflow exhaust valve. It shuts off to keep your exhaust quiet - holding back pressure. and can open up under throttle or boost to let as much gas as possible out.

Mines not by the same manurfactuer but the principals the same set at 2 psi car is almost as quiet as stock at idle and highway speed even, but i only have a medium volume competition muffler, so when it opens right out its very loud by contrast (all 800hp worth of noise).

also a good idea is to make high boost lock the valve right open. but on low and off boost to give a constant backpressure. this helps overcome large overlaps and keep response up too

you can also get one of those round walker mufflers, they should make it acceptable

The RB presilencer on mine toned it down big time to a more low growl rather than the common straight pipe to muffler chainsaw sound. It's true though, the N1 is loud as hell. You may want to look into Apex's silencer for the muffler itself.... think it's around $40.
