i bought an ice cube tray, it fit perfectly in the spare tire and held like 3-4 16oz bottles, on an s4 fillup, i would just put in half a bottle

Youre at a gas station, they always have those long straws. Just grab a straw when you pay for your gas.

You actualy pay for gas with paper money? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/blink.png

i carry around an old bottle of two stroke oil that i refill at home...

everytime i fill up, i check how many gallons is put in the car, and pour the same amount of 2 stroke in ounces. the bottle has lines on the side so you can tell how many ounces you put in.

[quote name='RONIN FC' date='Apr 19 2005, 12:10 PM']Wow, alot of you guys fill the tank. I personally dont like the feel of the extra weight.

A tank of gas is around the weight of a light passenger.

So, let me guess, you personally don't like the feel of having friends in your car? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

The difference in acceleration between a full tank of gas and a near-empty tank of gas is less than 0.1 seconds in the quarter mile. Do you really think you can feel this difference?

mazdaspeed7 04-20-2005 10:54 PM

If you want to be technical, the 16 gallon difference between full and empty on an S5 is only an 88 lb difference in weight, considering gas weighs 5.5 lbs/gal.

It may feel a lot more sluggish that it really is. I could notice a bit of responsiveness lost in my GTU, but overall acceleration when running through the gears was the same for all purposes.

I have a question that may have been asked before but I cant find anything about it.

Can you premix while retaning the stock oiling system? Does anyone do this? Woudl this cause any problems with the motor?

I woudl love to do this if it ment a bit more engine life and better lubrication. Any advice?

you can but the amount you mix is much smaller, like 4oz to the tank

RX7_TT 04-21-2005 03:08 AM

So what kind of blending equasion am i looking at here?

Im putting in a brand spanking new S4 TII motor that has been streetported in my car this weekend, and im considering also premixing but im not sure how much i should use. Keep in mind i work in liters not gallons as im Canadian eh :P

I dont know about you, but I dont put passengers behind the rear wheels like the gas tank is. In fact, when I have a passenger (in the seat) handeling is more predictable. It feels like I dont need to preload as much before a sharp left as I normally would driving solo.

And drag racing isnt all people use their cars for. I can feel a difference in handeling when the tank is full, Just like if you added 80 lbs in front of your front wheels you would notice a difference.
