I was just curious how most people deal with premixing. Stuff like, if you add the premix before you gas up, do you just guess how many gallons you're going to pump? Also, do you carry around a bunch of pre-measured little bottles, or do you just carry a jug of oil and a measuring device of some sort? I've always been curious, and I'm on the brink of ditching the OMP.

simplest way, anything left over from the previous fill up will be sufficant enough untill the road mix's it up in the tank

I usually put around 16 gallons of gas in my car(filled up at around 1/8 tank left), so Id just cary a couple of 16 oz bottles of 2 stroke oil in my car at all times. I kept the small bottles filled from gallon jugs at my house. I always poured the oil in before I put the gas in, and then just filled the tank until it was full. A pen works well to hold open the flap door in the filler neck for pouring in the oil if the bottle isnt long enough to push it out of the way.

I've got this nifty plastic tube with a fiting that screws onto your generic-sized plastic bottle. It has a valve on it that you twist to open or close it, so it's easy to control how much oil you're dumping in. I think I got it at an advanced auto, or maybe even wal-mart. Anyway, I always put the oil in after I fill up with gas.

I have a graded syringe I got from Auto Zone. Made for mixing 2 stroke oil.

thanks for the replies! I'll probably end up premeasuring out like 16 oz. bottles, dump in 13 oz. to start with, gas up, then add however much more I need. I never really reach 14 gallons of gas, are the s5 tanks bigger than s4? (our convertible just received 16 gallons, blew my mind)
