Does it work if car is only used occasionally? Is it a good to do just in case the OMP is not working? I have a '88 13B NA convertible, used to premix in my '79 but found it gave me a rough idle sometimes when cold. Follow the 100:1 ratio, but I only use the car 1 or 2 weekends a month so I'm wondering if it settles. What brand do you use?

if you still have the metering pump, you dont need to do 100:1.

any brand that is tcw3 is good

Go with a 400:1 ratio. Put it in BEFORE you put the gas in. THat lets it mix in a little better. I like the Valvoline 2 stroke, but like Mike said, any TCW3 certified will do.

What is a 400:1 ratio mean for a regular 12-14 gallon fillup?

I just put in an 8 oz. bottle for each ~15 gallon fill up which is more than enough.

I've used premix for awhile now. 4oz per fill-up.

Premix does lower your octane. So if you have your metering pump hooked up, not sure why you would need premix.
