no it will not smoke. premix is 2cycle oil it is meant to be burned, it burns cleanly, unlike normal oil

I used some bolts on the rotor housings, although I might change them to set screws since they're lower profile. I had the LIM injector holes filled from the inside by a weldor, and ground them down smooth. I also bought the k2rd pump block off plate, it's cheap.

Another thing I did was remove the shaft & gear from the front cover that drives the pump, it's a small amount of rotational mass the motor has to turn off the CAS drive gear. It's just a E clip holding it on, but I had to tap and plug the hole in the front housing that provides oil to this passage, otherwise theres a minor high pressure oil 'leak' (dumping right into the oil pan basically) but the hole is very tiny that provides flow here, I'm not sure how necessary plugging it was. I had it apart so it was no trouble to plug it to be safe.

If you run aftermarket ECU and remove this shaft/gear/pump theoretically you could remove the CAS drive gear and replace it with an equivalent sleeve, for even less rotating mass in the engine assembly.... assuming you run one of those magnetic wheels instead of the stock CAS with the aftermarket ECU.... how much difference this makes is questionable.

keep in mind you guys, that pre-mixing is a pain. I hate keeping nasty oily rags and bottles in my car all the time. If i could make my S5 OMP work with a haltech, i would. The gains of premixing i dont think outweigh the pains. (and the expense)

I use mobil one 2 cycle. Its designed to be burnt and has a very low ash content. I use about 6 oz per tank of gas and still have the stock oil metering pump working. I run it for extra protection. Its not a pain. I just put a little in at each fill up. No messy rags in my car or anything.

I had rags and oil in my car before when I had the metering oil pump working anyways, the car consumed oil so I had to keep an eye on it. At least with the metering oil pump eliminated the car shouldnt be consuming oil (all new internal seals) so I won't have to check it every time I fill up, and i can dump in a predetermined amount of oil when filling up with gas, which already requires me to open up the tank cap etc. If you ask me, premixing is less hassle.
