I'm gonna start my rebuild on a S5 TII this weekend, and I'm going to streetport the motor while i'm inside. however, I will not be able to afford an exhaust system for another month or so. Will I damage the motor by porting it but still restricting exhaust flow? Won't that give me higher compression and eg. more low end torque?

I dunno i'm a novice. please help

you won't harm anything but you won't take full advantage of the porting. you better port that thing while its apart just get a full exhaust and ecu upgrade later. you will notice HUGE difference :bigok:
