I'm gonna start my rebuild on a S5 TII this weekend, and I'm going to streetport the motor while i'm inside. however, I will not be able to afford an exhaust system for another month or so. Will I damage the motor by porting it but still restricting exhaust flow? Won't that give me higher compression and eg. more low end torque?

you won't harm anything but you won't take full advantage of the porting. you better port that thing while its apart https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png just get a full exhaust and ecu upgrade later. you will notice HUGE difference :bigok:
