So, I am buying a bunch of stuff for the car, and I know it's time for new wires (they are pretty old) and new plugs (used to get the rebuild started, have been fouled a couple of times). I am ordering from Mazdatrix and thought I would check out the plugs and wires there.

They list that switching to hotter plugs (BUR6EQ L and BUR8EQ T) for street driven cars. I was wondering if this could be a benifit to my fairly fresh rebuild, since these hotter plugs aren't supposed to foul as easily. And has anyone noticed if the NGK platinum plugs are any better? The platinum ones are only about $1 more. And what wires should I get, stock, Magnecor, screw Racing Beat their wires are expensive.

Thanks ppl's

I like the stock wires. They work fine and fit good. Magnecore fit shitty from my experience. Hard to get them to snap onto the plug and easy to break the electrode off the wire if you yank them wrong when trying to pull them off the plugs. If you are willing to spend the money, Racing Beat and MSD are real nice wires. And don't run hotter plugs. Run 7s and 9s for a mostly stock car and all 9s for a more modified one.

I stick with stock wires, they do the job fine. I would would stick to the 7 and 9s. Going lower will just make the leading burn up faster, remember the leading spark up twice more than the trailings.

This is what i run on my modded 7.
