I have an 89 tII.

I found a great deal on a s4 turbo motor with all the goodies..

Im wanting to run the s4 motor so i can rebuild the s5.

Is this doable?

Does anyknow any mods right off hand that you know I'll have to do?

Any help would be appreciated.

The S4 front cover is meant for a mechanical OMP. Where as the S5TII front cover is meant for the electronically controlled OMP. The electronically controlled OMP will not mount to the S4 T2 front cover. Without the S5TII OMP the stock S5TII ECU will go into limp mode.

If you choose to go with the S4T2 motor make sure you use the S4 flywheel as its integral counterweight is meant for the the S4 motor. You will need to run the full S5TII accessories and manifolds.

Yeah...actually.

On second thought.

I'm just gonna sell the s4 and either try to find a s5 for around the same money, or just buy the seals I know I need for it.

My water seals went bad in my s5 motor...and I bought the s4 motor by mistake thinking it was a s5..(noob, didn't know what to look for at first).
