those sound promising, I'd like a set, but seeing as how I lack courage and audacity to go about it blindly, I too would like a step by step process...I feel I can do anything with good instruction, yet not very much on my own wits
lol true that with me too... ...it took me 3 hours to find the 5th and 6th port acutators. then Pengaru posted some pics and it was all clear

You guys need to get a Hayes manual and download the FSM too. Those are absolutely invaluable when performing such work. Other than that, we can help with the more detailed questions.

you need to remove the whole intake manifold to change the sleeves, if you want a write up on that i suppose its doable

mike
you would be even more my hero than you already are if you would post one up, or talk someone else into doing it, then, Armed with your knowledge, I will do it, and take pictures to assist those others who need more of a visual aide. unless you plan on pulling your Aux ports again, soon, then you can take your own damn pictures.

eh, just a general, this part comes off, and be careful not to break this part, cause it is fragile, and all that should get me going, then I can provide pics when I do it, bout time I contribute something to this place.

Its easy to replace those.Take off intake hose, 1 clamp. Relieve fuel pressure, take off fuel lines on secondary fuel rail. Take off 4 nuts and long bolt connecting the UIM to LIM. Take off 4 bolts and 2nuts holding LIM to engine. You there, put new ones in, done.

While you're at it, you can do the TB mod too and send the injectors to RC for a good cleaning if you can afford the down time.... anything else worth doing?

I want to clean up the engine a bit more. How will removing the EGR affect performance?

Thats exactly what I did, when removing the egr, you will not notice an increase in hp, theoretically it is suppose to gain some by allowing more oxygen into the engine instead of exhaust gases, but chances are its clogged any how. Just remove it and clean things up a bit.
