Well, this is an Atkins rebuild that is about two years old and it has about 20000 miles. I blew an apex seal in the rear rotor late Sunday Night.

Well, here are the pictures.

My first question is ... how do you know to align the CAS gear...this is how it was when I pulled the front cover. The FSM said the Camfered side towards the engine....camfered?

Here is the stuff in the front cover. It seems like there is a spacer missing in the order of things? There was still a spacer in the engine my finger is point to.

There is what is left of my rear rotor apex seal.

Here is the rotor tip it came out of. Not nearly as bad as I thought. IE...maybe the rotor is still good?

Here is the porting job that Atkins did. I asked for a streetport. Is that what I got?

Front housing secondaries:

Intermediate housings primaries:

The other thing that concerened me was blueing on the E-Shaft. Is that a concern?

And one last picture of my shop

All in all it wasn't that bad. I thought the housing would be chewed up bad. It really dosen't mater because I am going with new housings anyway.

for the cas gear, the side with the angled inside ring faces down.

that spacer is supposed to be there.

that rotor is hard to tell, clean it up totally and check clearancing for inconsistancy.

e-shaft is fine but i see something right beflow the oil jet. is that dirt or a deep scratch?

your streetport looks reasonable, clean the secondaries and the exhaust ports and post pics of them too.....

sucks about your engine, good luck on your plans.

Your shop looks like a storage place, is it? Not a bad idea for someone who lives in a apartment or doesn't have a garage.

setzep - Yep, it is a storage shed with a landlord that is soooo understanding. I got a 10'X30'. Funny enough...the day after my engine blew I called looking for an extra shed to rebuild the engine and she is like...we just had a 10X30 open up! I went from a 10X20. Great place though....I have power/water. She let me hang lights and have air tools. Gated with video cams all around and a two minute walk to my apartment. Runs 150 a month. Aside from a house with a garage this fullfills a small dream of mine to have a garage

BigTurbo74 - Thanks for the info. I will get things cleaned up and post pics of the porting jobs. Wont be till mind Jan cause I gotta go work. What you saw on the eshaft is WD-40. Everything on my bench is coated in it because I am going to have it sit for three weeks. But where i live is low humidity. Hell, my brake rotors have never rusted sitting in that shed. So, things should be safe from rust.

Looks like there are a lot of salvagable parts there, definetely could have been worse.
