Yes I am using the Stock Tranny. I had to modify the stock RX7 shifter as it was way too short. I cut down both shifters and welded them together in order to get it at the correct height.

The emissions testing they do is a series of simulated hills. They drive over them keeping the RPM matched to the hill. If it passes they will do just 1 or 2 hills. If it doesn't pass they will continue for 4 hills before they give you the FAIL slip.

Man, that sucks! Up here in WA, they check your emissions at idle, and at 2500 rpm, no roller dyno or any of that ****. You have too many tree-huggers down there.

In South Australia we don't have any emissions testing https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png Only if you get given a defect notice (for noise pollution, rust, general unroadworthyness, etc) do u ever have to get tested for emissions.... :bigok:

Ya that's how they used to check our cars down here. The thing that pissed me off is there is no testing for diesels. We've all been behind them as they smoke. Sure maybe they aren't harming the environment but it stinks and it's pretty ugly to look at.

My car is running pretty good... So I might just go see how off my emissions are this week.

I'll run the Haltech in Closed Loop and see how far off it is.

I would venture to say that Racing Beat doesnt make the converter and its made by someone else. Go with a Catco, you can get them from Summit, and they are very reasonable, stainless steel and **** like that. The inside of a converter can only be made from certain material to be a converter.
