So I have some weird noise. It sounds like detonation, but piston engine kind of detonation. From what I've heard, rotary detonation sounds different. I don't really know what it is, the only thing I noticed is that it doesn't happen when it's warm out or the engine bay gets nice and warm. Also the noise happens at really low loads, so I was thinking it was not detonation. I think maybe its a loose pulley or something, but not sure.

So i got on it a little more than usual today and heard the noise for a second and the power cut out real bad for that split second. I assume this is the knock sensor kicking in. A noise from, say a pulley or something, could trigger the knock sensor right?

Orly? I wonder if I just let off without thinking when I heard a noise? Or is it something more sinister...
