The sender harness does have a white wire but not the actual gauge harness. The gauge's harness has: black, red, orange and yellow wires. Want me to take a picture of the harness?

BLACK: GROUND

RED: 12v Ignition Power Source

Orange: Constant 12v power

Yellow: Illumination Source (parking lamps)

How in the hell are you supposed to get a boost reading from that? Why do you need constant power? Does the gauge have memory?

Yea, pretty weird. Its a Peak/Hold gauge so it probably uses it to store data.

Does the wiring have any stripes? I suspect you need a sender.

I guess the sender gets its power from the gauge's power supply since the sender plugs in directly to the back of the gauge.
