so i put an oil temp guage into an otherwise stock NON TURBO 91 fc. so far here's what ive seen



2k rpms in 3rd,35-40mph, its going between 65-75c, has a hard time staying over 70



3k rpms in 3rd, 45-55mph, its between 70-80c



beating on it got temps up to 85c, but they come right back down, as soon as you lift.



only time i could get it to approach 90c, is idling in the parking lot, and even then



racing beat says anything over 98c is bad, so it looks like the stock setup works pretty well.

 

ya i was seein temps of 190-210 just cruzin with the big turbo re motor in the fc but under boost id see temps over 250 and would not come down. i found out that with a stock non vented hood that the turbo created too much heat and would drive the oil temps and water temps up . took off the hood and only saw temps of 230 under boost and would come down when cruzing.

 

cruising on the highway on the way to work, it had a hard time hitting 70c..... it will come up going up hill

on a s5 na, new t stat, factory radiator. it runs between 85-87c, with the a/c on it will go to like 90. on the street
