Has anyone ever measured the inlet temps just prior to the manifold on a N/A? I'm sure this must be a major problem, as the stock inlet path runs from directly over the radiator, over the top hose, and into the filter, not to mention over the exhaust, and those pieces of plastic get really hot once the engine is warm. By the time the air gets to the manifold, it must be getting damn hot.... reducing performance.

Just wondering if anyone has found a way to get some air of a decent temp. into the engine, as all the designs i've seen don't really look like they would work that well...

Make a heat sheild over the header/manifold. And figure out a way to mount the cone filter in front of the radiator.

There should already be a heat shield over the exhaust manifold, but putting the intake filter before the rad is a good idea. might have to look into it myself. I am not working right now have plenty of time LOL
