when it sits at idle at normal temp, it has 50 lbs or pressure, but when i take it on the interstate and run it at 65 MPH the oil pressure drops to 30lbs or less.



was wondering if this was normal operations. If not whats going on?

Stock gauge isn't very reliable try cleaning contact on the sensor they get all oily. I'd recommend an aftermarket sensor and gauge for more presice readings

 

i would def verify with a more precise gauge. if that is correct your oil pressure is *** backwards.

 

check the connection at the sender.
