Okay, well we know we have a vaccum leak but I thought I fixed it. Nothing changed. Also, he brought me home tonight, there is a new noise. It sound almost like something in the motor/Intake that has a rough nocking noise, if you are playing with the gas. (ie: punching the letting off then punching it and letting off, rpms go off 1.5 to 2 then down to 1.5 and so on). I plan on checking for a vaccum leak with the starter fluid later. Ideas on the noise?

John

oh yeah 86 GXL with new motor

TPS could be your idle problem though. Adjust it.
