ok when im driving my car and it gets to about 5000rpm and it "jerkely" pulls to 7000rpm. what i mean by jerkely is it will pull smoth and then like the power will kinda stop and pull and stop and pull. im not sure whats causing this. need a new fule filter, or something?? thanks

kick it til it works. ive rode in his car also, and it acts like it is sorta missing on the topend, but it isnt missing. my guess is it isnt getting the fuel it needs for the RPM's and needs a fuel filter. it has new spark plugs BTW

-thought id give u a lil more info

Make sure your AFM is working properly too. My rx7 did the same thing and I found out my air filter melted in the AFM and was causing it to stick at WOT.

Its on pg 4A-54(in the fuel/emmisions section)

88 FSM



I would just check to make sure the measuring plate inside the AFM moves freely, that was my problem. Now the wire on the AFM falls off sometime due to the clips being broken; so make sure your wires are attached securly.
