Sometimes alot of electical parts cleaner would fix it and other times I had to adjust it. Basically, mine was on its way out and needed to be replaced. There is a write-up with instructions to make a tool to adjust it, I kind of think it was on fc3s.org or com or whatever it was.

Fuel cut cuts all fuel. There can be no lean OR rich condition. Theres simply no fuel there. Hence, no detonation.
But hey, if you dont believe me, just ask Hitman why he limits RPM with fuel. Or RETed...Or BMEP Tuning...Or most any other tuner out there.

Its obvious you dont know a whole lot about these cars, so why go around answering things like you do? All it does is spread misinformation ( which is how you probably got that mixed up notion ) and eventually a complete falsity becomes tribal knowledge.
Im not trying to be a ********, I just dont understand why people believe everything they read on these boards and then just pass it on assuming its true. If you dont know the answer to a guys question, dont reply to it giving him some harebrained solution.
I dont know the answer to this guys problem, so Im not replying about it.

Mazda put in the fuel cut to prevent detonation from overboosting (kicks in when the engine exceeds stock boost levels). Why would they bother spending thousands engineering a fuel cut to solve a detonation problem if their design actually CAUSED detonation? Think about it.
Fuel cut cuts off the injector completely. There is no fuel injected, and thus no detonation.
A hard knock will kill a rotary intsantly, this has been proven time and time again. If fuel cut killed engines, why is this guys (and mine) still running?
