Its too bad you dont have the loot to do a rebuild on the trans while its out. I had mine done @ Pineapple, after about 98,000k all the innards are really wore out. New seals should keep the grease at a minimum for a while.

how much was it to get rebuilt? my drain plug for the tranny has some really really fine metal powder,shavings?in it, a place around here wants a grand <_<

A grand for what? its already out of the car.

Mine was like 650 out the door, Rob tanked the case, new synchros, all of it

1000 bucks is a ton of loot for a simple rebuild.

yeah, they want a grand to rebuil my tranny even though its out of the car already, he said there a bear to rebuild our trannys?lol from what you say i guess not considering the shop i asked does this for a living,******* trying to rip me off or something?lol whats tanked the case mean? flush it out?

Like hot tank, to clean all the gorilla spooge of the case, The guy is REAL through on all the work he does, and he's right here in Portland



For a Grand, I go give the other shop the finger twice

heh, those exhuast bolts weren't that hard, set a socket on them, climb out from under the car, and about ten good kicks, and viola, problem solved, I only sheared off one bolt, and stripped another, but they were the ones I was replacing anyway, (btw, good god those cats are heavy, glad they are gone)

My tranny from pineaplle was 950. But I had the miata gearset installed.



I can get the rebuild kit for an NA for 300
