So, I finally picked up my 89 gxl auto last night for $1000 . First rx7, and it already needs love.

When I get off work at 12 have to pop start the beater mr2 cause the started crapped out last week and go replace the pulsation damper and some fuel lines.

Two quick questions

Anyone ever towed an auto fc with the rear wheels on the ground?

Uhaul didn't have the car transport and gave me a sad excuse to downgrade me to the dolly.

So I had to go about 45 miles from arlington to bmore and was wondering if the tranny would be ok.

Also any tips or tricks on changing the pd?

Wish me luck

Can't you just put the rear wheels on the dolly, and not worry about the tranny issue?

I was thinking about that but we ended up going with the front on the dolly to make sure we didn't have any trouble with the law and to protect the front bumper cover.

Thanks for the link I saw that before and was going to look for it again after work.

yes, I had to with my FC after purchase (since it overheated on the way home)...i drove about 25mi, no issues, just stay in the right lane and take your time

...of course, it wasn't until after i got back that i saw in the fsm that for highway speeds it should be towed w/the fronts on the ground :/

We were only going about 40 mph max on the way home so hopefully it will be good.

Thanks for the replies.
