I was wondering if any other AFMs or even MAF sensors are out there that would work with the 2nd gen. Like if you took it and re-pinned it would it have the same connectors and would it be compatible or no?

As long as the volatge range is the same, any one would work as long as you re-pin it the correct way. Usually you have a 12V+, a 5V+ ref., a V-, and I think there are 2 signals, one being a completely shut, and one being a variable range.

If the range is different, you would need to change that by amplifiying the signal, or weakening it. I cant remember the range on the stock one. Last time I played with it was when I made my MAP to AFM converter. Its a decreasing signal (the farther the flap opens, the voltage decreases). I believe the range would be 2 to .5 or something like that. Its really easy to find out the voltage when you have a SAFC.

the v6 probes have a larger one.

there is a 2 pin temp sensor, then a 5v power, ground and then the signal.

the range on an fc is 5v-0v, 5 being closed, idle is like 2.25ish and fully open is sometimes negative

Would any MAF sensors work? Or would those just straight up not be compatible with our stock ECU's?
