Do you guys know the most common cause of afterburn or like popping noises in the exhaust at an idle when the car is cold, And it happens alot when RPMs are increased to around 2200 RPM? Is that normal?

its a rotary, it pops whenever it feels like it.

my cars does the exact same, i just chalked it up to it being cold and having a straight through exhaust.

So, I have another quick question. I was going to get an HKS intake kit for the car but i was then told they Aren't very good. So now i think im just going to get a universal k&n filter, And i'll probally get a vinspeed heat shield.

I kinda like this filter: http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductList.as...tnumber=RX-4990

Hope this adapter works: http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductDetail....rtnumber=151603

Is this all i'll need to make this work?

Thanks

Anthony.

I meant the mass air flow adapter to connect the universal filter to.
