Hey guys! I just had some questions about my rx7. I recently checked the timing because I have a small misfire and the leading checked out fine but when I tried the trailing I did not even get a flash from the light. I am wondering If my trailing coil is bad. I recently purchased a multimeter and did the test on the trailing coil that I found in my Chilton manual and it tested good. Is this test accurate?? I am new to this and I dont know what to make of these conclusions. I also saw rims that I liked and they are 15x6.5 +14 offset. would the fit my 87 NA??? I appreciate the help alot. I just want my car to pass smog!!! Im sure some of you guys feel the pain.

did you test both your trailing coils? or just one test them both and make sure they are both in spec it took me a few try's to get it to test at all but i checked 3 times and held for a min just to make sure the readings were right this was before i realized i had a blown water jacket seal and needed a rebuild but its always worth the time to make sure its right. just to make sure you know you have 2 trailing coils and 1 leading coil honestly id rather spend my time checking to make sure it came out right then having to call it a blown engine and having to get it rebuilt my leading was checked bad come back after getting the multimeter and it checks out fine check it once more and my friend got it twice at once so we called it a day and just talked to some other people and they said its a blown engine from the sounds of it

if the trailing coil was bad, then the tach would not work either.
