NA intake question..

Since the plastic stock tube seems turbulent, i was wondering if anyone has replaced it with aluminum or something to smooth out the air flow. Would this mess up the MAF reading?

i hear ya

I more want to change it because it looks like ****... especially since I got engine degreaser on it and its all discolored
