Thumbs up

I was going to get a spare set of 86 injectors to send to RC for cleaning. Was there any change in size or anything from 86-91 for the NA's primaries & secondaries?? Will I just need the new o-ring set for each when installing? Does 460cc sound right for the primaries?

Thanks, chris

The physical sizes are the same, however the impedence is different. The break was in mid 88. Rotary resurrection has a good breakbown of injector types

****! figures mid-88! I want to swap in these 86 injectors into my 88. So, if the impedance is different, I can't use them, right??

Yeah you can but you'd have to get a resistor block off an 86 or early 87 to do it.

You sure about the phsyical sizes?

Mazda used square head injectors and the oval ones for the electrical connector. (In additional to the difference in the impedance).

When I went to 550cc injectors I made the mistake of not knowing this and had to change the connectors on my harness. Not a big deal, but something I wasn't ready to do.
