how much did that set u back?
just the engine build alone I think was ~5k... I don't even know, I never got a total invoice for everything from mazdatrix as alot of the parts were ordered seperately via email with them, kindof in passing while discussing technical details of what to use for what I wanted.

I do however know the credit card balance after I stopped ordering stuff, > 5k, but there was more than just the engine parts on that card.. I'm guessing it's around 5k. You can go on mazdatrix and add up the prices on the web site if you're curious... Heres a semi-complete parts list (copied from my web site)

* Aluminum underdrive crank pulley, aluminum double sheave alternator pulley.

* Competition motor mounts

* New series 5 turbo rotor housings, street ported

* New series 5 turbo intermediate housing, street ported

* New series 5 NA end housings, street ported

* New hardened front stationary gear

* New hardened rear stationary gear, 3 window bearing

* New series 5 NA rotors

* New rotor kit, stock 3 piece apex seals

* New gasket set

* FD corner seal springs

* New oil pump drive chain

* High pressure oil pressure regulator

* Weber jet eccentric shaft oil jet mod

* 18 new series 5 (ribbed) tension bolts (thats like $300 in bolts!)

* New series 4 water pump

* New competition torrington bearings, thrust plate, thrust washer, bearing plate

I also needed the air bleed things for the primary fuel injectors, I think those were > $100 ! some of this stuff is ridiculously priced.

I'm just curious what I can get out of an NA, if I max it out and I'm still not happy with the performance it will likely turn into a high compression turbo motor.

yeah i'm surprised how well it's revving in the low end right now, especially with the aux port setup I have going right now, which is aux port actuators, shafts, bushings, sleeves, all removed.... I expected low end to be more piggish, I think it wil get even better as I get everything tuned... I'm having trouble doing anything at work today my mind is definately elsewhere. Just wait til I have videos of it revving to 9k, :squirt:

if you make it a high compression turbo engine. how do you make the intake manifold work. need a custom one ?

just need a custom elbow for the throttle body and custom exhaust manifold ? the E6K has a 3bar map sensor :twisted:
