so i got it and it was dumb

at first any load at all and it would stall out, like trying to drive it at all. i fucked around with the tps and it went away.



then at high loads like highway speeds on hills it would jsut buck under more then half throttle, and wouldnt go past 4k flooring it. sounded weird above 4k in neutral.



swapped out the secondaries, now its fiine.



it pulls good till 4000. then after that its just like blehhhhh. not really pulling at all. and i thought i heard some popping out the exhaust coming home tonight.



im pretty sure the 5th adn 6th ports are stuck, but my other car had them stuck shut forever and it was nowhere near as bad as this.



maybe the primaries are bleh and pooping out when it goes to batch? im not really sure.

any ideas?



oh yeah, completely stock. all emissions there, dual exhaust with just a cat and two mufflers, air pickup tube still intact.

 

its just mad that its n/a, bwhahahah

 

im mad that its na too.



but ive got $400 in it and its a better dd then a ******* tempo.



now if only i could beat on it in all rpms. =/

 

if the 6 ports are stuck shut it'll be slow over 4500...

 

its like megaslow. and i thought i heard mini backfires as i was trying to accelerate?

is there anyway to fix it without taking the whole damn thing apart?



ive had three na's and none with working ports. meh.

 

i got lucky on my last one, the actuators were stuck on the rods, so once i got the actuators off, and greased up, it works perfectly.

 

tried turning the sleeves with pliers, didnt want to do it.



i guess im rigging it open like i did the last na. sigh.

 

thats the only thing i like about my n/a, the 6 ports work perfectly.

well ran fine on the way into work, aside from random missing/stumbling and a whole LOT of backfiring. also idled at like 300 and shook the whole car.



on the way home, shitttttty as hell. wont hold an idle, no power anywhere, all stumbling missing and generally not doing much. feels like it isnt really getting enough fuel. fuel filter is a clear type and it looks like it might have some rust in it from a quick glance, not sure though. goddamn car.

 

fuel filter was clogged, took it apart pulled the filtery thing out and put it back together and in and it runs fine. was full of rusty stuff.



its still dead up top. unusually so, though.



maybe its just the stuck 6ports and im used to turbo power.



but it pulls hard to 4k then just drops off.
